This is getting REALLY annoying...re melodyne Region EFX

Okay again, Melodyne has disappeared from region efx!!! It is correctly placed in the Common folder and it shows when scanning VSTs but it simply keeps going away from the Region EFX drop menu...what is going on here Cakewalk?

I got it working again a week or so back by following steps elsewhere, but it has now gone again.....nothing has been changed except a Sonar update (Foxboro)

Message is the CallInitProc issue...permissions for the folder Common have been edited to allow full control.

Don't say that. (Fingers in ears) I just got mine working by wiping the file system and registry of all things melodyne then reinstalling it. I thought I had finally fixed it and made a clone of the momentous moment.

What does the following pertain to?

Sometimes the Permissions (as in who/what program) can actually access and modify data in a folder in the C Programs drive is blocked....security default is to have editing disallowed for some.

Anyhoo I got it (Melodyne) running again, but ONLY after uninstalling it, doing a VST reset and rescan in Sonar, then re-installing Melodyne and then doing a VST re-scan in Sonar. So yeah its working but I am not going to mark the thread Solved, as the underlying issue is not really solved.

Why does Melodyne magically disappear and can only be re-instated by going through various hoops?

It must be something in your system, as many of us have no issues at all. I'm no expert, but are you running as admin? may be worth a shot.

You must choice the VST3 audio type on cakewalk plug-in manager.
