    Hi Chris,

Yes, that was indeed a happy hop... I liked your choice of sounds for this four to the floor dance toon

Nice sounds going on there and good concept, certainly right choice for the name :).

For my tastes I do however feel that it may be over compressed as straight from the off it is loud, unless that's what you were intending. Additionally do you happen to have a limiter on the mix bus, as there seems to be some artefacts in the drums that I can hear on my speakers.

I made this song on some cheap desktop speakers and as an experiment I compressed the juice out of it so to make a "sausage".... The idea was to make a cartoonish sounding happy feeling song.... I'm glad you liked it ! :)

Well, it certainly sounds both happy and hoppy here!
    Happy sausage?

Yeah, definitely a bouncy kind of tune with a fun feel.  Mix needs some work though: too much compression or limiting and the percussion seems to be washing over everything else.

I get the comments about overcompression, but I think that's part of the genre. If you were shooting for in-your-face cartoony bounce, then you totally nailed it!  I thought it was fun, and would appeal greatly to a younger gaming crowd.

Imagine listening to it with a controller in your hand, eyes glued to the screen, an imaginary you jumping over imaginary things, while irretrievable seconds of your life just drift away forever. Bliss!  :)

So, I'm not a gamer, but I still liked your song.

    cheers,
    -Tom
