This is what Bapu told me today

Bapu said that if someone called up cakewalk and asked what DAW they recommended that...cakewalk would never recommend pro tools

Really....that's what Bapu said ...

But what fool would call up cakewalk and ask such a question is my point here

That Bapu is so silly

See everyone? This is what I have to deal with. He did not tell you the whole story.

Mooch asked me if I thought his gardener could recommend a good landscaper.

So I tried to help him by 'splainin' it in a simple way that mebee he could understand.

That's when I said, " if someone called up cakewalk and asked what DAW they recommended that...cakewalk would never recommend pro tools".

Of course he'll not remember it that way.

    FYI,

Bapu's right.  Cakewalk does not recommend Pro Tools.

Not that I called them to find out or anything...  Really...  I also didn't tell them I was Mooch because that would have been wrong...

    Hope that helps.

Maybe my enquiry is being misquoted?  I merely asked Cakewalk how many of the Tools posting in the X1 forum are Pros.  I can see how my words might have been twisted around though...

That is not the whole story at all ....

I was talking about my finacial situation and then you start blabbering about cakewalk phone calls and pro tools....which is totally unrelated to my finacial situation since I paid cash for all my DAW stuff

You see what I deal with folks??

    So you did say it!!!

One thing 'bout Mooch if he sez you seddit, you seddit.

So ya come on the forum with some half-cocked explanation as if comparing a landscaper to pro-tools is any betterer?

I'm so with Mooch on this one.

Mooch, next time he starts blithering his gibberish just hang-up, it's the only way he'll learn.

I think he just makes calls for the sake of it and then tries to think up stuff to say when he's done it.

    Kinda like this;

    Bapu:  Hi Mooch.

Mooch: Hi Bapu, what is it?

Bapu:  Nothing Mooch I just though I'd ring.

    Mooch: OK.

    Bapu: Mooch?

    Mooch: Yes, Bapu?

Bapu: Nothing Mooch, just Mooch, Mooch.

    Mooch: Ugh!

    Bapu: Mooch?

    Mooch: Yes, Bapu?

Bapu: Nothing Mooch, just Mooch, Mooch.

    Mooch: Ugh!

    Bapu: Mooch?

    Mooch: Yes, Bapu?

Bapu: Nothing Mooch, just Mooch, Mooch.

    Mooch: Ugh!

    Bapu: Mooch?

    Mooch: Yes, Bapu?

Bapu: Nothing Mooch, just Mooch, Mooch.

Mooch: Listen I haven't got time for this, unless you have some good suggestions  I have money worries to deal with.

    Hi,

That would be because the true professionals use Pro-Tools on their huge studios, and homemakers use Sonar to put together their easy and cheap rock'n'roll?

    Hmmm ...

On the Das Rheingold DVD, when Klaus Schulze is talking to the engineers about details of his piece, they are using Pro Tools!

I guess there are professionals and then there are PROfessionals, and then there are PROFESSIONALS????

    Was worth the question!
