This just in: The US wins the Cold War with Russia!

Or, at least, they beat the Russians at hockey in the Olympics. 
 
Ok, so maybe that's not as big of an upset as it was in 1980...  Oh well!

    The coverage of TJ Oshie has put Warroad MN on the map, a little town of under 2,000 population. Both my high school and college team used to play Warroad several times a year, when I lived in Grand Rapids, MN.

    Heh, the majority of the relatives on my Mom's side live in Grand Rapids.  The last time I was there was in... the 60's!

    I've got to get back, myself. I left after I graduated college at 28. My father passed away, shortly after I left and is buried in Grand Rapids. The rest of my immediate family moved shortly after that to St. Paul and Red Wing, MN. I just haven't been up there since. Great memories. Beautiful country.
