Before updating I had taken some notes on a song I had finished for a client in X1a regarding CPU and memory usage. I don't have time to play with X1b until tomorrow evening, but I opened that project and noticed a few things immediately. - Reason opened with the project (I use Reason Drums on this project). X1 had stopped doing that - but with B patch installed, it seems to work like it did in earlier version and open Reason with the project. Very minor detail, but still a detail.
- The project played without any problems. So did X1a - but this is good news. On the surface it seems X1b likely didn't break anything This project is pretty loaded with VSTi's and effects which is why I chose it.
- Memory consumption is down! I always ran the Sonitus delay fix so that wasn't an issue, but my memory consumption is about 2/3's of what it was when I took my notes from X1a before the update.
- CPU consumption is down as well. I was pushing 50% - 60% usage on this project, and now I am between 35% & 45%.
So far so good, but I will approach this cautiously. Opening a song and playing it is hardly a proper test, and I am quite aware of that

FastBikerBoy Did talent come with the download? Please say it's so, and any idea where to install talent? Does it go on a separate drive? It takes practice patience to properly install talent on any drive. Keep us posted on your progress?

FastBikerBoy Did talent come with the download? Please say it's so, and any idea where to install talent? Does it go on a separate drive? Sorry FastBikerBoy. Talent 0.32 only works with Muse 9.54. As you know Muse 9.53 only works intermittently and sometimes just wont start up. They are working on it, but it might take a while... In the mean time - try to enjoy the new X1b upgrade. I am sure that will ease the pain...
