This morning entertainment

So I was up late last night working on a collab causing me to sleep in a few hours longer than the Mrs and daughter.  What I awoke to was so comical I thought Id share.  Both were sitting in the living room with their feet up screaming for me to get the spider out of the hall so they could go to the bathroom    Apparently they had to use it for sometime before me waking up.

There are some arachnofobic ladies around here as well.
You should see how difficult it's for them to, say, take the firewood to the shed an pile it up.

My wife and I lived in Detroit, MI for about five years. (many many years ago).  We had recently moved into a rental house.  I had gotten home from work and was sitting in the living room resting when my wife let out a blood curdling yell of my name.  I didn't make out everything she had said, but I did understand something about a spider in the hallway and her wanting me to kill it.

I told her "You're bigger than it is. Just step on it!"
To which her response was, "No! It's too big!"

So I got up from the couch started down the dark hallway somewhat annoyed that I was distrubed from my rest and would have to step on this puny spider. But instead of seeing a spider I saw a tarantula at the end of the hallway.  And I'm thinking "Holy Smokes! Wait a minute! We don't have tarantulas in MI. do we?" Then I thought, "Oh wait! This is a rental house! Maybe the previous owners lost little fluffy."  And then I start to wonder if they may have also lost Spike their pet python.

So now I'm searching for some weapon to use on this thing. I think I grabbed a broom.  I told my wife, "I'm gonna sneak up on it! And when I say 'Now' you flip on the light!"

So I'm stalking fluffy and I'm within striking range and hoping the sucker doesn't jump, I yell to my wife, "NOW!"

She flips on the light and now I get a good look at fluffy.  It turned out that one of the large crawdads had crawled out of the fish tank, down the hallway and was covered in dog hair from our shepherd.

    We both laughed pretty hard.
