At least you're not wearing bell bottoms in that picture. All my "back in the day" pictures have me in them. My X wife got those in the divorce

Yeah, both Randy and Rain are on my list of those who, annoyingly, always seem to have the right look for any time (from my jealous point of view  ).  You know what they say, some of us just have a face for radio...

I follow a simple formula - wear black. It's never in or out, and always adequate. Let the hair give away the era...

Would you believe I have no idea who that fellow is?
No TV, no radio, no magazines - I live in a world of books and Star Trek and old music.

I don't suppose you're missing much, but you really should keep the Star Trek thing to yourself... ;)

I'm proud to be a trekkie. ;)

As far as pop culture and tv series are concerned, I find that there really isn't anything to be ashamed of in Star Trek. As a matter of fact, watching the Next Generation for the first time recently, it was a shock to realize how our standards had collapsed in the last 20 years - a tv show with long dialogues about ethics, moral values and philosophy?

Plus, an optimistic view of a future world where people are well-educated and appreciate classical music, theatre and literature? That's the kind of escapism I need...

Now it's all color treatment and CGI, naked people and coming up with the most shocking image...

The latest Trek movies are an abominable testament to that.

Speaking of, I'm going thru the Janeway Voyager saga's in Netflix. I missed part of that series when I moved to the swamp back in 95' just after I retired from the USAF. I love them all but have to fast forward thru Enterprise's theme song when I'm watching that one.

I have yet to watch Voyager - I'd never watched anything but the original, but after a few episodes Next Generation started winning me over and it wasn't too long before I was hooked. I only have a few episodes left to watch and then I'll move to Deep Space Nine, then Voyager and then Enterprise.

I could watch them on the TV using my wife's Netflix account, but they have them all on CBS and startrek.com - the publicities are really annoying but I prefer to watch them here in the studio/man cave while I practice guitar. :)

Man, I want a LP.

Honestly, I don;t like the way they play (for me) but man I love how they look.

I feel pretty lucky to have that Les Paul ……it was a gift

I feel the same way about mine..although it was more of a bargain than a gift, I paid about half what it was worth.

I had a Gibson 57  Les Paul  3 P U  Custom reissue Black Beauty that I stupidly traded for a Strat back around 1982
I went a little over 30 years with out a Les Paul  I sure felt like I was doing hard time on the planet earth by not having one .
James, I love the sounds you get out of your Les Paul
