I'm glad I am not a fish.

This bird is known as a Osprey, Fish Hawk, etc.

    Really nice pic Mike.....especially being caught in flight (very clear). I've seen some of them quite efficiently grabbing fish out of lakes.

    We've definitely got our share of large birds out here, but I haven't seen an Osprey yet (that I know of).

    We DO have a couple of huge bald eagles, some albatrosses, a condor and several other types of hawks that regularly soar above the river outside my window.  Hard to even get them in the binoculars sight because the winds carry them down the river so quickly.
