Those Looking For New DAW - Harrison MixBus Special For Cakewalk Users

Not sure this will meet everyone's needs for a DAW. And I'm pretty inexperienced with Harrison MixBus so I can't speak in depth of the software. But I saw this on FaceBook the other day and it seemed like a pretty good deal as far as I could tell and so I purchased it.

Hope this link works. I just copied the url but it takes you to facebook so those not logged in my not be able to view the link? Not sure...

Anyways, wanted to pass on the info. My first impressions is if nothing else, this is good mastering software. I exported a Logic project tracks as AIFF files including all the processing such as effects etc. So immediately my mix sounded just like the logic project. Then I just mixed in MixBus like I was mastering fixing EQ, adding compression etc. I liked the results. I'm currently trying a larger project of a live recording I've been unhappy with my results in logic. Interested in seeing what I can do in Harrison MixBus.

Anyways, it sucks Cake is going away. I had a love/hate relationship with them and switched long ago. But they were my first DAW and I've participated in this community for quite a while so I thought I'd share the link.

    Wikipedia
Mixbus provides all of the features of Ardour, with additional functionality from proprietary DSP, replicating the workflow, signal path and sound of a Harrison console.

So, as a DAW it is... I mean people use it not as a DAW

Wow, that is cheaper! Now I feel like a fool. I paid like $50.

Not sure, I think you can record audio and midi. I've only imported audio.

Actually, it comes out the same price as I paid because I got the Essentials Bundle. Once that is added in it's the same price.

Even Audacity is a DAW, now that it can load midi tracks. :)
