Ticking sound on Line in Record

I just reinstalled x1 on a new Hp. Win.7 comp. I Purchased & Now I Hear a ticking noise on line in recordings from my mixer.
Imported Audio & all Synths sound good!
I did not have this on the older XP comp.
Is some setting off & HOW can I Correct this?

    It sounds like you are recording the metronome output because your soundcard is routing the output back to the input. Change the input selection for your soundcard's Mixer from "What U Hear" or "Stereo Mix" to "Line In" or similar.

    it can be also a time bomb so I'd get out from you house as fast as possible.

    I just installed X1 on a new Hp, Win7 comp I Purchased and I am getting a ticking Noise
    on any Line in recordings from my mixer.
    All imported audio & Synth. recordings sound Fine & sound Good.
    & no its not the metranome.
    I ran the same hook up config on the old XP comp & everthing was fine!
    What could cause this & how can I correct it?
     
    I appreciate all & any advice!

    Its not  the metronome I have it OFF
     
    its in time with the line in audio recorded!
     
    I think literace or something is set high, Dont know!

    Needed to set to MME !!!!!!!!
