Tie the same step sequence pattern to 2 different synths?

I know this may sound like a strange question, here's my issue. When creating drums tracks I like Steven Slate Drums for kicks and snares but I kinda like A2 for toms and cymbals. I know I could program my entire drum track in which ever plug-in (A2 or Kontact) then copy the pattern and eliminate the parts I dont like. Ex. Use AD2 to create the track then copy the patterns to the track for Kontact/SSD then delete thekick/snares from the AD2 patterns and delete all but kicks and snares from the SSD patterns. Is there another option? I know someone with Abelton who says they can actually combine multiple synths/plug-in into the same "synth rack". Thanks for any help!

    Create a drum map http://www.cakewalk.com/D...age=3&help=0x20373
Once you are happy with the routing save it as a Drum Map preset and it will be available for future use.

And if drum maps are too much work or you want to use some notes in more than one plug-in you could use this approach http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3207794. It is similar to what you are doing now without the copy step. No need to delete MIDI when copying or routing this way just load the drum plug-ins with the necessary kit pieces. If you prefer to continue copying clips, the copies can be linked to the original so that a change in one will change all.
