Till There Was You.

I've always loved this tune - I'm a huge Beatles fan. So, recorded this - it's two tracks - both using my ES335.

Thanks for taking a listen - I hope you are all doing well.

Very nice Mark! However, I hear some distortion in certain notes, probably from the mp3 conversion Soundclick did. You may want to lower your levels slightly and upload again.

My favourite versions of this song have been by Peggy Lee and also the Beatles.  Now I have a new favourite instrumental version of this song.  Really outstanding playing Mark.  At the risk of repeating myself (multiple times), you have some of the best phrasing, in your playing, that I have ever heard.

eph221 - thank you so much - very kind.

Warren - thanks for taking the time to listen - your the best.

Wook - alright man - appreciated it.

Dan - thanks - I'll take a listen a bit later tonight. It might just be the buzzing I get from my equipment. It is so difficult to play a quiet song such as this without any drums or bass guitar or anything else to drown out the slight buzzing the sometimes shows up. Thanks for taking a listen.

james, thank you - I'm comfortable doing these - they are actually harder than some might imagine.

mark - I appreciate it - coming from you means a lot.

Freddy, my friend - thank you so much bro - your such a good player and you are always so positive about my music - thank you so much - hope all is well with you.

How could I ever miss daryl - one of the really good guys here. Thanks so much. I did another song like this - Shenandoah - so I decided to try it again. I think I'm going to try to do six songs in this same fashion - an ep of sorts. I'm thinking I might try another Beatle song next. Thanks for the comment - hope you're doing well.

Lj - so kind of you. I'm a big fan of yours - so it means a lot coming from you. Thanks so much.

    Hi Mark

First of yours I have heard, and wow, sublime indeed. I have no idea how you do this totally solo. Like Dan, I can hear the odd note of what sounds like slight digital distortion, rather than buzzing equipment.

I have not heard the song at all before, and absolutely loved it.

Lovely playing, very well recorded and I enjoyed the quite intimate setting of this.

Listening to this on my surface pro 4 speakers and there is just a small touch of distortion on odd notes (2m54 to 3m mark there were a few) but that may be down to the limited capacity of the speakers.

The distortion of a note here and there could be caused by a plug-in I use to remove the background hiss. I worked on it - and it seems to be a fine balance between removing the hiss and having the distortion. I'll work on it - but may not be able to do much about it with my current set-up.
