Time to Start Fresh!

I've had an issue with Platinum for some time. Whenever I try to put an effect into the effects bin, I get a dialog box "Locate VST Plugin". I have to click through every plugin to clear it. Same thing happens when I try to delete something out of the effects bin. I've scanned, reset, rescanned, all to no avail.
I tried to post a screen shot of the dialog box, but am not having any luck.

Anyway, I hate to have to start over, but it seems the next logical step.
Running Platinum,Newburyport, Win 10, Dell XPS laptop.

Is it the same plugin (just one)or is it all plugins?

I don't believe it's every one, because according to the scan I have 127. But I would say that there is a good fifty or so that I have to click through. And the plugins do work, once I get past the "locate vst" box.

I get something similar when I have a plugin installed in 2 different places. (For some reason, some of the Sonar bundled plugins have done this, reverting to their default location when I had previously specified somewhere different.) Finding the duplicates and removing them fixes this for me.

I'll have to dig a bit further and see if I indeed have some duplicates that are causing this.
