    I never did. As far as I remember, the most I ever got paid in a gigging band was £300 split 5 ways, for 4 hours on a New Year's Eve playing to 200 drunken jockeys.

    In 1971 I was playing on the Bossier Strip in Shreveport Louisiana. I was paid $100 a night. Last week I played at a club here in South Louisiana and got $100
