Timing, sample rate issue

Hi

I have a project that I had been working on and now I hve come to record the vocals.

However, when I record it ...when I playback it is slowing down..just slightly so by the end of a verse i am singing behind the time.  It is so weird!  I have rejigged some equipment adding some near field monitors but non of that changed any technical points...like sample rates etc.

The project is all audio now as I have mixed down the soft synths and even archived them.

My mic goes into a analog mixer and then into a Edirol UA 101 and I listen via the phones on the UA 101.  I have been doing this for ages and never had this issue.

I am on Windows 7.

Project at 44.1 and audio seems to have recorded at that rate.  I am annoyed as i was a good take!  But weird as it steps slowly out of time.

Help please!

It's not a sample rate issue if it's slowly drifting off, it's a clocking issue of some kind. Are your record and playback  timing master the same? Is your computers integrated soundchip disabled?

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

OK I am not sure what you mean by  my record and playback timing master?  There is no other sound devices noted in Device Manager.  My Total Recorder sometimes appears using WDM drivers.  The way it sounds is that I start to sing just about in time but seem to be labouring...and by the time of the end of the 1st verse the vocal has fallen behind the speed of the track.  It definitely is the vocal that is running just slightly slower than the rest of the track.

Under advanced Audio I am using ASIO drivers.  I did change this not sure what it was originally on.  I did have "Share drivers with other programs clicked...I un clicked it...going to try a test now....

But, But, that shouldn't have caused the issue boys? right?
The only issue with that I understand is that Media Player etc will change your clock rate causing not only slow down but pitch change too..
