Tired of X2 crashing

I haven't used X2 much since I installed a couple of weeks ago (including the build 308 quickfix) because of other priorities but in that time the rate of incidences of crashing seems high compared to X1.

For example I spent most of this morning trying to clean up a very old domestic reel-to-reel recording of a conversation, notching out frequencies and trying to get rid of noises on an individual basis.  All I did was click on the automation dropdown in the lane view and X2 decides to fall over.  All gone.
An annoying part of these crashes is every time it does this I have to restart the PC to re-open X2 and the project I was working on disappears from the recent files lists.    Today I lost a load of minute changes.  Not happy.

... and again, clicked on the dropdown, (Clips etc) in the track view during a recording.  All gone.

Did you not save your work as you were going? I think it is most important that you do.

Have you submitted a report to Cakewalk? This is important too.

Sorry to hear of your problems though, I hope it gets sorted soon.

    cheers

Did you submit a crash report? Please list the CWBRN number if so. The logged information allows us to find the source of the crash.

Thanks for the replies - guess I was just a bit annoyed and overall I'm pleased with X2 - I usually save regularly but it was one of those times I did some fiddly stuff in a brief period and lost the lot.  If it keeps happening I'll try and report it.

I think for me too, it's the fiddly stuff (whatever that is) that gets me too.

Yeah - if you can provide some more info, maybe one of us could help - certainly it would assist the Cakewalk folks in helping you.
