To windows 8 or not to windows 8, that is the question.

Anyone using windows 8 for sonar? I'm thinking of buying a new laptop and I'm wondering if I should go for windows 7 or 8. I would have to upgrade from sonar 8.5 also. I'm wondering if I would have trouble getting my old projects to work from sonar 8.5 running on XP to windows 8. I'm also wondering if Windows 8 sonar is buggy. I'm always wary of new operating systems. Any help would be much appreciated.

Go with Windows 8 and a laptop that has a touch enabled screen. See link above.

There are a few good threads on this already.
But, I just bought a new laptop 2 mon ths ago. I am pretty sure this still applies to ANY win 7 laptop:

You get a promo code for Win 8 Pro upgrade. I used mine, haven't installed yet. Point being you can image the laptop with windows or 3rd party and then you can don't really have to worry either way. I am still waiting to install Win 8, but I downloaded my $14.99 version and made a ISO already. Really just waiting until I get my SSD Intel 335 240GB from Amazon to put in the laptop
