Today's Orders

So, I was minding my own business in the drive thru at McDonald's this morning.  (Hey!  Don't judge me!  I was hungry.)  I pulled up to the window and some guy, (I don't know, but I think his name might have been Scooter), handed my food to me.  As I took it, he said, "Have a Wonderful Day!"
 
That's all I need.  I tried to tell him, "I can't because I have to work", but the window had already closed.  Well, that's just great.  Now, I have to have a Wonderful Day.  It's too much pressure.  I got a good parking place, since I'm at the office before anyone else.  That's a good thing, I suppose.  I walked to my temporary cubicle.  (My usual cubicle had fallen victim to interdepartmental piracy.)  My new chair likes to fall over when I lean back.  I managed to set my coffee down before landing flat on my back, so that was an improvement.  I looked around at the gray and brown office interior and realized that there was no party, gigantic platter of becan, or dancing monkeys. 
 
I can often manage a Good Day.  A Great Day takes some planning, sleeping past noon, and a copious amount of becan.  Somehow, today seemed to be falling below the curve required for a Wonderful Day.  What was Scooter thinking?  He obviously knew he was asking a lot of me.  I mean, he is a professional.
 
I don't know how I'm going to pull this off, but the order was clear.  It may be difficult or even impossible, but somehow, I've got to do it.  I've got a call in to the folks at ACME, Inc. to see if they can rush me some supplies.  I seized a whiteboard from a conference room and I've covered it with cryptic diagrams and workflows.  I got more coffee.  Then, I did what I always do when I want to be my most productive.  I came to the Coffee House.
 
Well, if anyone can make today a Wonderful Day, it's the Coffee House crew!  That's when it hit me.  Actually, I leaned back at that point.  I may have a concussion.  Anyway, I realized that Scooter must have expected me to bring this to your attention.  It's up to you now.  I don't know how you're going to do it and I don't know if you have sunglasses.  Here's what I do know.  You're on a mission from Scooter.
 
Have a Wonderful Day!  (It's Scooter's idea, not mine...)

Why is wonderful such a positive thing?  I have a wonderful day every day.  I wonder why I did this or I wonder why I did that.  It doesn't specifically make me happy--just filled with wonder.  
 
I think the same can be said for awful.  
 
Have a wonderful day.  (I wonder why I said that.)  

I'm going to have a Great Day and, as such, will be going back to bed as soon as I finish typing this and the plate of becan I'm eating.  I believe I have an excellent chance at success because, once I awaken, I have the following plans:

Sorry, but a Good Day just doesn't cut it.  We're going for Wonderful, you understand.  Other days are okay, good, or even great.  Today is going up to 11.
 
You can blame Scooter.

What we need is to use the right tools for the right job.

 Some people look at life like a glass half full and say it looks half empty. Some people look at a glass and say it looks half full. Some people want to know whats in the glass. I usually drink whatever it is and go get more if I want it....I think this applies somehow.
 
 Oh, and what did you order at Mcdonalds??? Hmmmm??

No worries, Mesh!  The Becan is great.  It's thick cut smoked hickory becan served sizzling hot and crispy. 
 
 

You should have heard the Bon Scott and Janis Joplin duet on "Whole Lotta Rosie".  Randy Rhoades took a few liberties with the lead guitar part, but no one minded.

The Karen Carpenter vs. Keith Moon drum battle was rather frightening, though.

But, I bet,  watching them attack each other with drumsticks was entertaining!

My guilty addiction for breakfast at McDonald's are their becan, egg & cheese McGriddles.  Love those things!
