Tone 2 ElectraX 64 bit problem...

I have already contacted Tone 2 who have promptly responded with some questions and advice on how to resolve my problem of not being able to use the 64 bit version of Electra x in Sonar. In their email they stated that their records show a number of users successfully running ElectraX64 in Sonar 64.

I was wondering if anyone here is one of those users. Were there any tricks you had to use to get it to work? I have successfully got the 32 bit version to work, and have tried a variety of install permutations using both installers, but 64 bit use still eludes me.

Anyone?

edit: the specific error i get is two pop up widows when trying to insert into a project. 1 reads 'The following plugin failed to load c:/.......electraX64.dll' and the other reads 'this plug may not have been installed correctly'. Happens in 8.5.3 and X1

    I also have not been able to get the full version of ElectraX 64 to run in Sonar X1 64. I also upgraded to Sonar X1A just in that case that was part of the problem. As well, I tested the ElectraX 64 plugin in Reaper 64-bit and Orion 64-bit and it does not work in those hosts either, so I've concluded that either the program itself is flaky or the installation file is corrupt. I've followed every avenue recommended by Tone 2 on their Web site and have contacted them twice with detailed reports on January 3 and 4, but have yet to hear back.

    One interesting aspect of my testing is that Reaper 64-bit refuses to even recognize the plugin as a valid file since it never shows up in the list of VSTs available after a fresh (cache cleared) scan, which is why I think the 64-bit version is flaky or the installation file is corrupt.

    The 32-bit version works fine in bridged mode in Sonar X1 64 and in the 32-bit versions of Reaper and Orion. All my plugins are segregated into either 32-bit C:\Program files (x86)\Vstplugins or 64-bit C:\Program files\VStplugins.

    This is the first 64-bit VST plugin I've installed that's been a complete failure and I am very frustrated by this situation.

    Jan 5, 2011: I've heard back from Tone 2 and they've acknowledged there is an issue with the 64-bit version of ElectraX running in Reaper and Sonar X1. They are attempting to identify exactly what the issue is.

    Hi guys,

    The problem was identified and is fixed in the current beta. We'll give the beta a good testing for the coming week and ElectraX 1.1 will released as soon as we have the all clear from our testers. Our apologies to those who experienced problems with the first release.
