Toontrack ROOTS SDK... x 2

A double wammy. Too much for my depleted budget for this year, but I did get the MIDI in the meantime. Should keep me busy until my "Finance Mini-stress" ok's the budget in January.

EDIT: Ok, it was me. I made the typo. But I'm good at it. The subject should read SDX instead of SDK. Spank me!

Did you guys get a chance to listen to the demos, especially the "Brushes, Rods & Mallets" SDX. I was hoping for better results with the brushes, but Em a little disappointed... your opinions on this would be appreciated.

I hear what you are saying.

Brushes are always a battle because there is so much nuance in a good brushes technique.  I'm not a drummer but I've worked with one drummer in particular who could make a snare drum talk with a pair of brushes.  To cover all the articulations he used would cover half your keyboard, I bet.  Most of them are swirley kinds of moves that change with the tempo of the tune.  I don't see how that could ever be completely possible with midi and a sampler.  I think with midi you have to be content with fooling some of the people some of the time.

I'm not a drummer either and thought maybe I was being too demanding, so it's good to have this confirmed. Thanks Dave!
