Maybe I have too many kits already or I'm having a bad day, but i was not particularly impressed. Ya sounds good, but it did not blow me away like say metal machine did.

I haven't checked the demo just yet, but w/ Randy Staub, I'd expect something right up my alley. Audio Deluxe has it for $65.

i already like the kits i have, is the midi pack still do-able with the other kits? (funkmasters, DFH, EZ) the 'nickelback' thing kind of puts me off.

The Nickelback thing would also put me off, but, you know, sometimes decent musicians take mediocre gigs. The demos seem ok and the emphasis towards heavy mid-tempo stuff is pretty much well-suited for my type of music. The web site says: optimized for 1 kick, 1 snare, 2 toms, 1 floor-tom, 2 crash cymbals, 1 ride cymbal. So I guess that, with such a basic configuration, it should work w/ most of the expansions.

The thing about Nickleback is that alot of their songs start sounding the same........I notice how Chris Daughtry ripped off their sound, although I think Daughtry is a better writer. And then I believe another band came before both of them...My lovely wife informed me that 3 Doors Down was the first band with that "sound".......I'm glad the Nickleback guy is playing on the pack because the Peter Friedlander (and the other guy, it's not worth looking it up) stuff is just too over the top for me. Just give me meat and potatoes playing

I can't disagree that much of the Toon stuff is a bit much. Give me some of Charlie Watts' solid time keeping, then we can dress it up a bit with some Mitchell/Baker here and there. (Clive Bunker comes to mind too) Didn't John Fogerty get sued for sounding too much like himself? My whole point was I don't think you can just "dismiss" Nickelback, or any one with that kind of track record. If they're good enough for the Reverend Billy, I think they're good enough for me. Just sayin'... T I think I'll order that Peluso today, you still love it, right?

it's my right to dismiss them if i don't like them. heheh macdonalds sells lots of hamburgers, too. anyway that's not a sound or style i'm interested in, but the licks may be worth investigating to plug into a completely different vibe. i like the toontracks stuff, mostly
