Track Color Change in X2

Is it just me, or am I really unable to change individual track colors in X2? It looks like I should be able to do it in track inspector like in X1 but it won't seem to let me.

Yes you can change either the foreground of the clip, or the background of the clip, or the background of the track

For clip colour, use the clips tab in the Inspector  - there are separate fields for background/foreground

For Track Background, use the colour customisation in Preferences - Clips pane.

    What, track background Karl?

I swear I tried that and it didn't work for me.

Might have to revisit that then.

OK, seems like it must be me then. I thought it should work as Karl indicates. Did anybody have this problem and then resolve it? I have deselected the check box for "Use Track Colors." Neither left click, right click or double click on the foreground or background color produces any result.

What I meant to post was the clips pane background - that can only be changed via Preferences > Customisation > Colours > Clips Pane > View Background (odd & even)

The Preferences/Customization/Colors window allows you to change track FG/BG colors in groups.

The Inspector/Tracks tab allows you to change track FG/BG colors individually after UNchecking the Use Track Colors box.

... there are still track color listings in Preferences that do not work in X2, which confuse the issue.

Simply ignore the MIDI Tracks xxx Background listing.

OK. The age old solution to Windows problems was applied and seems to have worked. REBOOT. Track color change now works as expected.
