[Track] Drift Session on 5th Ave

I did this track for a drift race game on xbox 360. It is much better experience with the engine sounds and drift swoops flashbacks etc.

All made in project 5.hope you like this chill out edge.

Nice track, Markus! I love the groovy, yet chill, vibe and production work. The mix sounds fine on my computer speakers (Harmon/Kardon 2.1). No criticisms here!

BTW - Chill Out Session is cool as well - you do nice work.

    Hi Markus,

    This is definitely chilled out.

Very nice production. I really liked the interplay between the different instruments. Everything combined to produce a nice groove.

At points it seemed like the piece might benefit from a lead line, but I'm assuming you left space in the arrangement to accomodate the game sounds.

    nice one.

Sound quality is good here too on decent monitors. Nice chill piece. Would of liked to hear a little more changes in parts the repeat a little too much imo. Nice song, high quality.

Yea, nicely done. Very deep sound field - even on my computer speakers. Sounds like it ought to work well for a game.

Why not throw in some of the SFX's? Might work.

Ah, the start reminds me a well known dance song, forget which one, though the original is faster. It's way too repetitive for the first 01:10. Cool pad at 01:35, though I expected a pick up in pace, as the pad definitely was going way way up. Instead, the pace remained the same, and it's too slow to my liking, and the melody is too repetitive and minimalist.

Markus, you've got some good ideas there (good choice of sounds, well produced too), but more could certainly be done to make it a more interesting composition. Definitely work on variety, and changing the pace would be welcome. Cheers!

Nice one Markus...! Excellent mix and sound choices..... synth and percussion.

I can imagine with all the other (game) sounds going on it would fill-out perfectly.

This is a great track...........you guys on this P5 forum are very good..............I've only hung out on the songs board so I have little knowledge of how you guys (and Gals) get these wonderful tones..........I keep trying to get something like this going on but the end result is so different.........I guess it's just operator error!!!!!!!.........I feel a tune coming on.........

    Nice job

I'm not sure what drift racing is, but at first listen this doesn't seem to be anything that would assist in pumping up adrenaline levels in the course of a race. Perhaps this is something better experienced in context? Less bongos, more guitars methinks.
