Track Icons - mildly irritating issue

First - I admit I may be doing something beyond stupid, though I cannot figure out what that is.

If I load a track icon in say the console view, why isn't that icon loaded in the synth rack or the track view?  Seems like it ought to default to loading it every where it is used.

Is there an option I forgot to check somewhere?

Thanks

I think the idea is that it's like a visual scribble strip in the console view for when you come to mix. In track view, the icons are more about telling you what sort of track it is. I do agree with you though, that it seems a bit inconsistent.

If I load a track icon in Console View, it automatically adds it in Track View too.
My synths output to Audio Tracks, so I've never tried using a track icon on a synth to know whether it addresses the Synth View.

Yes, indeed they do show up in expanded tracks with collapsed tracks just displaying the track type icon.
