Track Lanes Visual Load

I think the makers did a good job on the functionality of track lanes in X2 when they created them. But there is something made more difficult by these; visual eye scanning. It's become harder to scan a list of tracks and instantly see which have multiple takes and not; that's because the color scheme doesn't (automatically) use colors to aid eye scanning. It's just one big monocolor blob, by default. I'm not looking for christmas tree lights; just better use of color as a way to improve usability.

I also think the minimum size for track lanes is too large.  I like to do 10 takes in a track pretty often.  Can fit them all on the screen now.  Also, it takes two clicks to see your lanes in X2 (open track, then lanes button), while you only had to make one click on the layers button in X1.

I think takes lanes may be the straw that breaks Sonar's back for me.  I'll prob use X1 for another year then move on.  (I have bought every version since PA9.)  The UI is just getting too busy and larded up.  I tried to make similar points in this thread while trying to figure out how the take lanes were working for everybody else:

I'm sure cake wont miss one more user and this aint my "let the door hit me in the ...." thread.   If the majority of users like take lanes better then I can't blame cake, it is a biz after all.
