Track Manager graphic weirdness

Hi all,
I've had a weird thing happen in 8.5 PE.  I used to be able to close tracks in the console view and have them visible in the track view.  For some reason, they are now bound-close a track in one and it closes in the other.  Does anyone know why this is happening?  I'm sure it's some idiocy on my part but I can't seem to get this sorted out.  Thanks for the help!!!

    So are you using 8.5? I ask because this is the X1 forum.

    In anycase, in 8.5 press M to open the Track Manager and then remove the checkmark next to the Keep Track/Console Visibility States In Sync option at the bottom of the dialog box.

    If you have a CS "control surface" check if at the bottom of the dialog for it you have the options checked there. You should find this in options/control surface. (Visible in)
