Track Panel & Media Item Colors

I could finally be happy with colors (I think) if there were an option to have the Track Panels follow/match the media item colors selected in Prefs>Customization>Colors. 
 
By default, the track panels stay dark grey.  When a color is selected for a track, the settings for the media items specified in Prefs>Customization>Colors are over-ridden such that the panels and media items match the selected color. 
 
What I'm suggesting is the other way around.  Having the panels follow the media item color selections.  It's sooo much easier (less fiddly) to tweak colors in Prefs>Customization>Colors.  Plus you get the benefit of cycling automatically thru your potentially custom palette instead of having to set each track panel's color directly, one by one.
 
Please?  As an option, of course.
