[Track] Sunstream (EBM)
Hi all, here's my latest track called 'Sunstream'. It's an upbeat EBM instrumental with a couple of nice breaks to enable your head to stop spinning for a minute Your feedback is very welcome http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7001974 Bestest Paul.

Wow... this track is definitely screaming for some club play. Seems so much longer than it is. Really takes you somewhere else. Could definitely set in a set right next to Covenant and VNV Nation. Very EBM, with a big hard techno influence in there too. Very cool.

Yea, Paul, very well done. Up to your hi-standard. I was listening to one of the dance channel on Syrus radio today and they had a lot of little sounds mixed in. Worked real well, in my opinion. Don't know if yours is the same sub-genre, but it is something to thing about. But a slamming beat you got going there. later, @

Paul I am sitting here listening to this track and am amazed at how well you blend your synths, with your beats, with your melodic content with your change of tone / sound / breaks to keep things intresting so that you do not lose your listener............................. Nice job........ Cliff

Another fab track, and yeah - there is definitely VNV Nation DNA in there (also one of my favourite bands - saw them in Toronto last year). Now you just need some dark vocals and you'll be all set to open for them :) You've got a real talent for maintaining listener interest through the course of a song - not a secret by a long shot, but something that others really struggle with. Wonderful stuff. Thanks for sharing. KEv

Review: really nice reverberated kick and energetic synth create a hi-energy start, very timely and creative changes, techno feel to the track. The change around 02:00 brought a part I didn't care for as much until the pace picked up, and then it was cool again :) I think you can do more with the kick, as it is a bit too prominent to be just 4x4-ing all the time. Though you do stop it every now and then. The second part is a bit too predictable and not as engaging, so something more fresh there would have been great. Overall, one of the best pieces I've heard by the forum posters. Cheers!

Thank you for your comments and constructive ideas, HiThere. This is the first track i have produced in this particular (energetic) style so i'm very encouraged by the positive feeback. I'm also interested in the way others may perceive how different progressions could fit in. On that basis i feel i would need a collab to take this style further. Muchly appreciated!

thumpin' and glazed. such a knack for sounds and space. when the energy is high its high, and when the breathing areas arrive, the breaths are full of awesome sounding synths. i love awesome sounding synths and well-crafted music. that kick drum just keeps on thumping. around 3:40 the melody line is so cool, the scale you are playing in is what??

I think I have a new fav. prevelance track I do feel the synth you bring in at 52 sec. could use a little phattening up, but other than that a real great piece with a lot of direction, I have always been a fan of you quick break sections, something I feel is your strongpoint in keeping your tunes really rolling forward....nice work!

that's a very nice track, Paul. Have you ever heard of the trance-gate technique? it could work well on this track nice use of it. there is a great choice of sounds in this one, nothing to dislike. I didn't really care for the snare drum pattern and sample, but that's the only thing I didn't really like in the whole song. great work man!

Thanks guys, really appreciate the feedback! I do use a trance-gate sometimes, and yeah it often works very well. On this occasion i wanted to minimize it and try other things..... although the broken square sound is slightly gated. Not sure on the 'scale'.... fishy? Bestest, Paul

Hey Paul - excellent track!!! I listened to this song several times last week and I could have sworn I posted a reply somewhere, but I just checked the 'Songs' forum, KVR, etc. and didn't see my review. Definitely a VNV Nation vibe. This track sounds like it could have come right out of "Praise the Fallen" or "Empires", one of my all-time favorite albums that's a huge compliment! Tons of energy, excellent sounds and production - top-notch EDM/Futurepop stuff here. Loved it. I'm going to go listen again!

Cool stuff going on here. I like how the mood shifts in tone from section to section. A bit lengthly, but that's about my only complaint.

Thanks Dave! I'm liking your seal of approval! Another top band for Futurepop/Electro is Mind In A Box. Not sure if you will have heard of them, they are not that well known, although they have released three albums now. Just fantastic - and original! Trusty - thanks for your comments, much appreciated! I do 'go on a bit...' that is true Bestest, Paul
