Regarding the kick drum, I'm usually not a fan of reverb on kick drums, partly because I just don't care for the sound and even more so because it can muddy up a mix considerably, but I think that this track has enough space in it that it just might work. What the heck - we may have to give a short reverb a try and see how it sounds.

With regards to the lead synth - I'm glad to hear that you liked it because I spent a LOT of time programming that patch in my Virus. One thing I will point out is that it is the same lead is playing throughout the chorus, albeit filtered to make room for the vox. But, your point is well taken and perhaps more occurrences of that (unfiltered) line would help drive the song along better. We're making two additional versions of this song - a shorter 3-4 minute "radio edit" and a longer (7+minute) club edit, so we'll have to keep that in mind when we decide on the arrangements for those versions.

Thanks Vassa! I love my OneQ!!!! It's such a great-sounding and versatile unit. I owned a ThreeQ (it's little brother) prior to buying the OneQ. If you're in the market for a preamp/channel strip, I highly recommend either one.

The track itself didn't have quite the same 'wow factor' as many of your others but still a very good listen.

At around 2:24 I was imagining some rich sweeping trance pads fading in and out on top of the vocals, adding some extra fullness.

+1 - are you ever lucky to have that vocalist working with you (or you, her?). I've probably mentioned this in the past in an earlier review, but for those into Delerium and Conjure One, this track will instantly bond with the "familiarity" receptors. This is one of the best tracks I've heard on here and is professional in all aspects - not an album opener, but my goodness absolutely something to place upfront as the 3rd or 4th track on a album. I'm old-school like that; I realize kids today just buy the tracks they like, but I still like to listen to full albums in the order in which the artist intended. I'd love to hear an EP of remixes of this one. This was fantastic. Congratulations.

Trance is not my thing, but Alciya has a great voice. On my speakers, the vocal seems a little quiet, not by much but maybe the reverb has pushed it back a little? But I don't listen to much trance, so maybe this is how it's done. Good melodies. Nice track
