[Track] 'Wanderlust' - Progressive Trance ft. Avonlea Montague
Hey guys and gals, Avonlea and I are finishing up another funky progressive trance tune. This one's called "Wanderlust" and we threw it together this weekend. It's still got some rough spots in the transitions and breakdown, but I'd love to have some input before finishing it. It's the first song in the player and will start automatically: http://www.myspace.com/cryophonikmusic As usual, the basic idea was pulled together in P5, finished in Sonar. Synths used: Access Virus Polar TI Rapture DimPro Spectrasonics Atmosphere reFX Nexus NI Massive NI Battery 3 BTW, the lyrics are: "ooh, oohoohoohoohoohooh ooh oooooh"

Professional! You're the real deal, friend. I love this type of music. Not crazy about the the high-hat in this one, a tad hissy. Love the changeup chords several minutes into the song before the first break [no time mark to tell me when on the player]. Fun music! -mia

Thanks Mia! I posted this song on several other forums as well and so far three people have stated that they don't like the hihats. Must be a sign.

The hihats were out there, but they didn't bother me so much. Usually that would drive me crazy, but didn't this time.
Nice work. Lots o' change up fun and plenty of good sounds. Nice drumming - esp. the build ups.

Thanks AT! Yeah, I think I'm bi-polar on the whole hihat thing - one hour I love 'em, the next minute, it seems like they could be improved. I think I'm just going to leave them for now until it sets in.

Nice work mate - love the whole feel of the track! Great mix of sounds and that quitar sound later on is spot on........ Once again, a very very pro sound indeed

Loved the opening melody and the sounds you used. I'm not usually into this style or genre, but this track had me nodding my head all the way through. For a track that you say has been thrown together, it sounds really good. The melodies and sounds are what hooked me into this one. Good one.
