Track by Jambot : The VST plugin virtuoso !

Hello,

I’m glad to introduce to you our project : Jambot, the VST plugin virtuoso !

It allows the generation of a MIDI melody.
We got inspired by the jam sessions performed by musicians.

Although the generation is “random”, it will respect certain parameters :
You’ll simply have to chose a scale, a chord, the time/tempo.
Then you have to pick a VST or virtual instrument and you are ready to jam ! Your music will be generated in your sequencer.

It can be used with sequencers supporting VST protocol,(Ableton Live !, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Cubase, Reaper…) and is compatible with Windows and OS X (32 and 64 bits).

Here’s a cool demonstration of its skills :

Hope you’ll like it !

Feel free to send a mail at this address to sign up to our beta which is coming very soon : betajambot@gmail.com.
Don’t forget to mention your OS and your architecture (32 or 64 bits).

Thank you very much !

Best regards,
Jambot Team

How very tacky to post on Cakewalk site and NOT mention SONAR in the list of supported sequencers. JMO.

Jeez, even when I'm sending out a cut and paste email out to clients, I make sure to put the correct name in the greeting.

One of the douchier intros I have seen. Is "douchier" a word? Not saying I'm the best businessman in the world, but would have been respectful to mention the product who's site you are on if you are going to mention competitors.

This generator could give someone more time to concentrate on the music.

For a person that is quick to jump on people he has posted with for years over very human mistakes. your sudden pretense of acting understanding is puzzling.  The OP's post was not a matter of human error, but lack of courtesy.  Nobody mentioned anything about the link but commented on the fact that he willfully took the time to register for a Cakewalk site, respond to the confirmation email from cakewalk to post, navigated to a section of a cakewalk forum  and then listed everyone but cakewalk. It's hardly something to tar and feather him over, but not simply a mistake either. I think sharke nailed it for what is far more probable; that in his rush to promote his project, he did not give a thought to taking the time to edit his form letter.

ALL good points, Dub...  I think it's also the unfortunate fact that Sonar is still not considered by many to be a DAW in league with the others he mentioned, which is both ridiculous and unfortunate.  I can't begin to count the number of folk I've dealt with who also go "huh?" when I mention how much I love Sonar... it's got to be a very frustrating and intractable situation for Cake folk but one can only hope that with all the amazing improvements in the past couple years this ignorance will change.  Institutional/market wisdom enertia is a challenging thing to address (witness climate/solar/fossil fuels insanity) but I can only hope that truth will win out in the end.

The scary part is that I actually thought the music was groovy.

I'm thinking maybe this thread should be moved to the Songs section.

I will try to help you out of your puzzling situation. I am just trying to be considerate which is sometimes hard on this forum.
He did sign in on the forum and went through everything you said and in the excitement forgot to name Sonar as a daw. For his first post, I think he got the message. The daws that he did name are the same ones as on any other site on the internet. The name Sonar has not made it to the top ranking yet as far as all the other sites are concerned on the web. Maybe Sonar could promote more to get a better rating.
I believe everyone knows we are on a Sonar Forum and as I said everyone makes mistakes.
I take some things too literally and let my anger get the best of me. I will not change overnight, but I am trying.
Hope this helps.

It originated in the Songs forum but my research showed it was more about a product than a tune so it was moved here.  It very nearly ended lost in the ether of cyberspace as it borders on a violation of the CoC.
