Track
Hi! This is a track I made with Sonar X1 Studio. Needs a lot of work before I can say it's finished but decided to share already as I haven't done any sharing for a long time. I have no idea when I have time for the changes though. Comments welcome:) https://soundcloud.com/madrigal7/ufo

Like many pieces, imo, bar 4-5 is the place on which to work .. so much music seems to want to start repeating way too early.

I think it's a good start. The synth parts sound OK and the lead is there, but for me, the drums are buried and "dull" sounding. And the overall mix sounds a bit over-compressed and maybe a little crunchy (could be the MP3 conversion too). If you can get the mix clearer/more open I think it'll work for the genre .

Thanks for the comments guys. William I agree there sure can be too much repetition as I have problems making melody variations and other stuff too musically. Also I have still problems to get motivated to start messing with my DAW. Steve, I don't have good ears or other needed skills so improving the mix can be tough for me. I can improve the drums (they really stink atm). Thanks for the encouraging words as I like those the most:D I am sure that at some point I will try to correct the worst parts.

I like what you have going on in here kakku.......the melody kept my attention throughout the song. A little boosting effects on the bass & drums would make this a hit. Nice composition.

That's a good idea at work. I agree with Mesh on boosting of the bass and drums. Cheers, Kane

Thank you for the comments. I will try to find time to fix the tune better. The chorus melody and probably the middle 8 I will leave as they are because I like the way they sound.

The usual melodic sound and well thought out arrangement. I liked the change at 2:04. Keep working away at it, good start.

Hi Kakku Good start for sure and nice sounds. I also agree that the drums are a bit buried in the mix.
