Track templates and envelopes

Can anyone tell me if envelope information is supposed to be saved when creating a track template?  I'm using X3, and I've been trying to create track templates that have envelopes in them for use with the Garritan VSTs, but it seems that every time I set up a blank track template with the envelopes, and then try to insert a new track from the template, the envelopes are gone.  It sure would be nice not to have to add all those envelopes every time I want to add a new MIDI track.

Envelop data is not stored in a track template. See http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X3&language=3&help=Arranging.08.html for details about what is stored in a track template. Envelop data can be stored in a project template.

Thanks for the info.  I came up with a workaround for what I'm trying to do.  When you mentioned "project templates" I sort of turned off because a lot of times I just want to insert a new MIDI line with all my envelopes already in them.  As I thought about it, though, I thought of a workaround for what I need to do.  The project template is a great idea for new projects, and I figured out a way to adapt it old projects as well.  Thanks!
