Track won't play

(sonar platinum) I have 1 track that is silent. A bass track in a 10- track song suddenly won't make a peep. Just beforehand, I was setting it up to mute automatically because I wanted to mute  8 bars. Now nothing! The audio data waves-pictures are still intact. All of the other tracks are set up the same and work fine. The bass track is not frozen. I've tried or dbl checked: mute automation is not enabled; track is not muted ; volume is up; output is same as other 9 tracks "master"; there are no plug ins on this audio track; solo not engaged.
 
 
Help-----Ideas?

    Take lane muted? There's feature request in place for muted take lanes to show partial muting in the parent track because it's easy to miss.
     
    Edit: Or clip mute, which you didn't mention checking, but that's a little more obvious.
