Tracks with different patch sound sharing the same soft synth for sonar X1.

Hello,
I am having problems with midi tracks with different instruments sharing the same synth, Iwill explain. Say track 1 is a piano and track 2 is a guitar and I insert the dimension pro soft synth into both tracks. I am finding if I insert the soft synth into both tracks I cannot get a piano sound in track 1 and a guitar sound in track 2, I either get a piano sound in track 1 and 2, or a guitar sound in track 1 and 2. Could someone please advise me on what settings etc,  I should be using in each midi track so I can use one soft synth but get the different sound in each track I am looking for. Thanks.

You need to load 2 instances of Dimension Pro and assign the Piano patch to one and the Guitar patch to the other. (There is a way to have up to 4 sounds in Dimension Pro using the Elements section, but that will take more time to set up. Read the Dimension Pro Help info for more info on that.)

Or, use a multi timbral synth like TTS-1 (or Sampletank) and assign each midi track to different midi channels.
