Yes, I did. but id doesn't actually show any patterns. The Sonar session on the disk is entirely audio and there is no midi example on the disk (except maybe in a Apple Logic file).

Hey Andy, you might also want to add some automation to the aforementioned pattern...try using the volume coming in and out as the snare roll cresendos (sp?).
Or...AliasFactor could be cool. Typically, the better productions don't use sixteenths and finish with 32nds...if you notice, they start with sixteenths then maybe throw in a few quick jabs of 32nds (maybe louder to stress the change) and then another run of sixteenths...then another pulse or two of 32nds... really there is no formula but some experimenting is in order to make something sound a little more 'cool' then the standard fare.

I import a snare into an audio track, copy and paste is every 16 or 32 of a measure.  That way, they all keep there tails.  These drum machine players can't seem to play these fast snare patterns without cutting off the decay. So, the player starts to play the sample before it has time to finish playing it or so I would assume.  Then once you get your repetitions however long you want them, you simply write record a smidgen of volume automation then go back and edit your nodes for a volume swell.  This isn't so bad until trying to use your fills with different tempos.

Maybe there is a better way but when I'm using Battery the snare fills sound like machine gun fire and nothing like a drum fill.
