Trashed Hard Drive and Everything stuck on iPOD

Well the weekend turned out great on the trip to Chicago. The spare computer we used to keep all music on along with practices and studio recordings dumped on us.  We had it all on an iPOD but there we were trying to figure out the BIG Mystery of how to save what was on the iPOD and get everything back into the computer.

After replace the hard drive and a little research, it turns out its real simple.

Computers back up and all music from the iPOD is now copied back on the hard drive and everyones at ease again.

Other than that went and watched a friends band and relaxed.  Waved at Kev and Mooch on the way back but couldnt tell if we got a response, traffic was hell and we were movin along pretty fast

It used to be a real pain to try to copy the Ipod drive to a computer..... I know because I tried to do it.

    Hey Mike
You picked a good weekend to visit.  Not very warm but good weather for relaxing in a club/bar watching a friends band.  Today as you were leaving I was going into Chicago to pick-up my new preamp at GC.  I waved at every car that had a Michigan plate.   Those darn computers they love to spend your money. Glad to hear you had a safe trip.

Yeh I think its actually 5 steps now but VERY time consuming.  When I did get them all transfered, it was hard to tell because I believe I only had 49 folders with about 20-30 files. The iPOD had a total of 9200 songs. So I was kinda of concerned as to what didnt make the transfer. Once I got what I could transfered and let the ID3 Tags keep everything straight and get all the coded names organized and songs retitled, it was all there. I think some files are in there to throw ya off, (Have to baby sit and acknowledge alot of "cant" faults.) But in the end it does work. Let me know if ya need the steps.

These are the steps. Have to mess around a bit depending on to OS System but simple enough.
