Trouble with Softube FET Compressor - Does it work in Sonar X3e for You?

About 50% of the time when Sonar opens and scans my VST plugins, it crashes on the Softube FET compressor.  This generates an error report which is sent to Cakewalk.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin and have reset and rescanned my plugins in Sonar, but neither has fixed it.

I know that you can buy this plugin in the Cakewalk store, so it must be compatible.

Is anyone else having trouble with this plugin?  Does anyone else have it work correctly?

I have submitted to Softube and they would like a log, however the only log I have is the Cakewalk one, which I'm not sure will be of any use to them.

Phonic - it works fine for me. In fact I use it often with Sonar Producer X3. What version do you have?

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

I've been using it for a long time and I don't have any problems.

Are you using the new iLok manager or are you still on the old version?
On my Windows 7 laptop I have the old drivers with the iLok and have no issue plus I have just rebuilt my desktop Windows 8.1 and everything works as expected.

    Phonic,

Yeah I have problems with some of the Softube plugins and the FET is one of them, the other is the Reverb.

I thought it was just me and my setup but when it causes problems it sends a report to Cake, so they should be aware of this issue.

What I do to get it to work again is to restart the program (Sonar X3) (sometimes I have to try that several times) or re-install the Softube plugs (I have backups copies) and so far, after that it starts working again.

I'm waiting for the day when it won't, then its off the the Cake support to get this issue resolved.

With so many replies indicating that they are not having problems , that seems to me that it might be my setup and not the programs themselves. However I don't recall having this issue with either X1 or X2.

I hope that you can get your system working.

    Regards,
    Del

It seems iLok has new drivers every 20 minutes or so. Check the site and download the latest to see if that helps.

Ok, I've updated my iLok drivers and I'm still crashing.  Last night I removed the FET compressor and now my other Softtube VST dynamite is now crashing.  I can't use either of these plugins apparently.

I was in contact with Softube customer service, but they have stopped responding to my emails.  At this point I would like my money back for the two useless plugins.  I am going to ask, but I doubt they will refund me.
