Trouble with sonar cakewalk tts and groove synth

I have been trying to use the tts and groove synth to change the sounds of smf files I imported into sonar. Problem is whenever I try to use one of them they sound like actually trash can lids hitting something no matter the sound I pick. Rapture and session drummer works find as well as my addictive drums and keys, lounge lizard, and maschine plugins. It seems like the audio bit for those two synths are to low. Also if someone can help me I have been trying to use drum sounds from maschine 2.0 when I am using smf files in sonar. I can click on the kit I want in maschine but when the sound is played back in sonar it's to low a key or a different octave. I tried to change it via the piano roll but had no luck. Can someone please help me fix these two issues? Thanks
