The Dead was a a great live band... saw 'em several times when I was a much younger man... Good cover gents... Bill's guitar could use more ambience to make it sound more like he's on the same stage... Vox is very pitchy in places... fix the vocals, and the bump'em up a bit,(please, in that order )... The keys sound great..

What a pain in the ass! Sound Clump won't work with Firefox 3.6 anymore and it won't work at all in either browser if I try to load up two. Looks like my listening/commenting days are coming to an end until this lump of crud forum software gets fixed. ............................. Anyway ... My favorite Dead song. You fella's did it justice. The rhythm guitar sounds a bit crisp to me. Could be tamed a smidge, but I'm splitting hairs here. It stands out, that's all I'm basing it on.

That was fun thanks. I'm no expert but I agree the lead is a bit crisp perhaps because the rest seems as if it was all done with a couple of room mikes? What is that? Frequency overlap? - a very "live" feeling tho and well played.

I've seen the Dead do this song in concert, and you're version is much tighter. This has always been an iconic song to me. Congratulations, gents.

Oh man, this ruled! This was the first Dead song I heard when I was a kid...so of course all the Dead Head t-shirts with the skulls followed for the next 5 years. LOL! Well done guys....ole Bill on guitar...wow, great playing! Ed, your vocals are getting better with each attempt. Keep up the great work. The mix was great too and your bass was pefect. Piano/organ was great....back ups were right there. Loved that twangy guitar and the acoustics added a nice little ring of percussion. Awesome guys! -Danny

To be honest, never heard it before but this was outstanding. The vocals were really cool...the sound of 2 old musical companions that are quite comfortable singing together. Awesome work on all instruments. Awesome playing and tone Bill.
