A while back I bought a TC Electronic Polytune Clip Tuner and it came with a download coupon for the PolyTune plug in.  It works great and I guess you can buy it outright if you want to.

I have PolyTune, and like it. (It was gifted to me over at GS)
Especially the open string tuning.
All the best.

Hi Ken ,
Guys like us just can't make this type of stuff up .....

I'm starting to think I should have tried out one of those Gibson Robot Guitars that self tuned when I had the chance ...

all the best,

Kenny

I know
But I can't afford one of those...
But if I think of how much time is spent tuning (xtra). It wouldn't be that much money

I hear you loud and clear ,

Even if I could afford one of those ,  I'm still gonna be SOL when it comes to tuning up the other 25 guitars I have

Nice find ,
TC sent me an e mail today that lead me to this link ...this may be a new version of the clip on hardware....

At 49 bucks it seems like a pretty decent deal ...I wonder if this tuner is up for the Job ?
Any head stock clip on guitar tuner that has to put up with me and my guitar playing for hours on end , needs to come with an extended Harakiri prevention plan

all the best,

Kenny

The only niggle I have with the Polytune clip is that the G string doesn't always show in the Poly-tuning mode...I have to "extra hit" it while the other strings vibrate.  I don't really use that part of it anyway except maybe as a quick check.  The strobe tuner is very accurate, almost as good as my Peterson Stroboclip which is my favorite off board tuner by far.  It seems like it would be highly visible even in the bright sun, but I've not done that personally.  I still keep my old Strobostomp as the Gold Standard :)

The plug in actually works very well for what it's worth -- I use it all the time!
