My word...Tenpole Tudor takes me back a ways! :-D Not sure if any music makes me bang my foot as such. I did find a rather funky number with a blistering solo from Nuno Bettencourt quite recently, which is not at all my usual cup of tea but I really liked the energy of this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqP76XWHQI0 If there's one song that's pretty much guaranteed to make me smile, get up and dance and even (despite being explicitly forbidden by a number of international treaties) sing, it's this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiBI3A2WcrE As for the Dave Pike song, I didn't like the production much at all. All the sounds were mixed right up in your face to the point that I felt somewhat claustrophobic listening to it. All the sounds were far too separated too, kudos on one hand for being able to mix like that at all, but overly separated and in your face sounds do not for a good mix make, imho.

Why has no one mentioned Stompin' Tom Connors? Check out Sudbury Saturday Night if you can find it. Stompin' his foot was a big part of his act.

Bang a foot?
In 1995, here at La Luna, with Seaweed on keyboards, Ozric Tentacles went into a very long improvisation that was almost pure Tangerine Dream. It was fantastic and when Ed added guitar, it felt great. I listened to it on tape from the board, and it was a stomper and then some. It's a shame that they lost that feeling, because it was a nicer extension of their music than what they are doing now.
Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!
