Turn off small time display clock on cursor in time ruler

Hi All
I hope that description made some sense!
I'll try again anyway..

When I move the mouse around in the tracks pane, a horizontal line follows it.
Displayed at the top of this line, and over the ruler, there is a small clock display which tells me in great detail exactly where in MBT or Milliseconds etc (depending on the time format I'm using) the mouse is.

Can I turn it off? I find it distracting in the extreme and hard to make small bar selections when not zoomed in, as this clock hides the simple numbers on the ruler. I just want to be able to select e.g. 57-61 and not have to read 57:01.000 then follow it so it reads 61:01:000.

Many thanks and kind regards to all

I think your only option would be to turn off Aim Assist completely. To do that, from the main menu, disable Edit > Aim Assist.

Or just press  "X" key to quickly toggle aim assist on and off,  except then you dont have aim assist, LOL.
Id agree though, I often find that little time display more annoying than helpful, when trying to select loop or marker handles, it would nice to be able to just disable that, and maintain aim assist line. (at least with 'X" its quickly turned on and off).

Thanks John. Good to know.
I find the Aim Assist line (now I know what it's called..) useful too, but that clock is a pain.
I can barely read it anyway without having to change eyeglasses.
