Tutorial Session Drummer 2?

Greetings all,
New user here. Very excited to be digging into Sonar Studio. I usually start reading and exploring after my kids go to bed. I haven't had a full nights sleep in days!

I have quickly discovered that the Sonar manual is quite brief and superficial. Any suggestions for good reading/tutorials on Session Drummer 2 (or any of the other soft synths for that matter)?

Thanks,

-- Rob

    Robin will show u..

sonar power book is also a good buy, but thats for sonar 7 and 7PE so can't say how it relates to your version of sonar, Scott the author might know.. people can only teach you so much to be honest, some of it you need to mess about with.. and get to grips with.. sometimes there's a lot of things the same

also have a look at your install disc and youtube.

alas there is a LOT of reading to do, if it wasn't for pro audio stuff i'd hardly read any books

There is also a full SONAR manual (pdf) on the install disc - although I don't think it has much about Session Drummer 2 in it. There is also a help file for Session Drummer I think. Try hitting the F1 key when you're in SD2.

    Fog,
Thanks for the reply. This kind of reading I don't mind at all.

I've had some success with SessionDrummer so far. I was able to insert the synth, add a midi clip into a track, and expand the groove for several measures. I can hear the drums when I audition the grooves within the SessionDrummer, but I am not hearing any audio when I play the song from Sonar Studio 7. I think I am still getting the hang of my mapping/ins/outs...

While waiting for my dedicated sound card/interface to arrive in the mail, I am currently using my PC's integrated sound card (i.e. Realtec).

What should the I/O assignments look like?
