Tutorials

Looking for some advice here guys. I've just completed the recent survey and now have £20 credited to my account (thanks to the generous folks at Cakewalk). Thought I'd treat myself to some tutorial material. I have X3 Producer by the way.

I already have the full X2 video tutorials from SWA and Groove3. Bearing this in mind - I don't want to re-buy what I already have - what X3 tutorials would you recommend? If I just buy the 'new features' X3 videos (from SWA and Groove3) will these run sequentially in sync with the X2 material that I already have?

Thanks
YC

Hi there. Thanks for buying the SWA Complete Sonar X2 video.

I can only speak for the SWA videos but yes, the "X3 New Features" does go hand in glove with the Complete X2 video. It was written to do just that.

It goes through the new features of X3 and the changes to existing features between the two. Comping for example is revisited because of the changes to the way that now works. Inevitably there is a little crossover but the two were designed to marry together well.

Thanks for the support and I hope that helps a little.

I would actually recommend CRAIG's "Advanced Workshops" - even though they are for X1 they a just "choc-a-bloc" with useful little nuggets of information, new concepts and some very inspiring ideas

I have all of the SWA videos that are excellent at learning "how" to use Sonar but I find the little segments in the Advanced Workshops a great springboard for ideas on "why" to use Sonar!!!! (and you obviously learn the "how" along the way as well)

I used my voucher for the Melodyne tutorial as I wanted to delve a bit deeper into this
