Two Step Rockin' Remix 2011 - (This is why you don't hear me sing).

First off, this is why you don't hear me sing, I mostly play stuff that's 80's hard rock or 80's type pop/rock music on my guitar.

This is a remix of a song I posted a while back, I could rant and go on and make excuses about everything in this, but I'm not going to. I'm actually rather happy with the way it turned out.

There was a bad error I made when I first posted this, I can't remember who told me about it, I corrected it with this version. Just wanna say thanks to whoever that was at the time. I realize now it's not a personal attack for someone to tell you something's not quite right with the song.

This is why you don't hear me singing the style of music I post most of the time, my singing voice isn't that great, I'm not a singer. I've had people tell me that I'd be better off adding vox to my stuff to give someone else an idea on how to sing, and I've had people tell me I'd be better off to not try and add vox, just send the music etc...... Oh well, opinions vary, no doubt about that.

One serious mistake with my vox being added to this is the lack of SNAP in the sound when I say "You Got Me", I realize this stuff, and I say once again, I'm not a singer. The lack of snap in the vox is because I'm not a singer. LOL "Did I remember to tell you I'm not a singer!?".

This is as honest as I can get with my vocals, sure I could try and scream high and sound like somebody who just got kicked where it hurts, but this is my vox. Like it or not, it is what it is and nothing I do or any review is going to change that. But I say once again I AM NOT A SINGER, I'm a guitar player, and guitar players are a dime a dozen as so I have been told. I guess I'll join that dozen.  It was a fun remix either way.

I don't like the drums, but I do like the drums, so I opted not to mess with them that much. I'm sure somebody will chime in telling me something sucked on this, but that's ok.

It is what it is.

Actually, I think this style lends itself to being more inline with what you can do reliably in vocal take. I actually liked it. If you worked at it, you could probably be a montgomery gentry/alan jackson/trace adkins doing some reddirt. You got a little roy orbison going too...who was not a great singer, but everyone knows him don't they?!

    This ain't bad.

Actually, it is not bad singing there.  It fits the style of the song quite well.  Your voice has this nice deep tone quality to it.  Great mix and guitar playing.

Agreed, great playing, and your vocals seemed to fit the song.   I'm not an expert on this style of music, but if I heard it while at a bar or something, I would totally believe it was a released song, and you a singer.

Vocal quality is nice... I would just like them to be a little less out in front of the mix..The guitar playing is great.  Wish I could play like that....I would never leave the house!

I am a drummer and yes, I do hear the "drum" issues but they aren't that bad...

    I enjoyed this tune.

I don't think the vox are as bad as you seem to think they are. I've certainly heard worse and I see no reason for you not to continue having a go. Not a style that I listen to much, but it sounds more or less like I would imagine it should.

    Bobby,

This is good. For your Vox style, this is your groove on, for sure.

Thanks to everyone who has replied, this is actually version 3 as of now. I"m going to leave it alone. I don't wanna over process this mix, and I'm getting really close to it, or at least I have a feeling I am.

I appreciate the kind comments and reviews.  It was fun.

    Thanks,

    Bobby

I'm just kidding, although I really will be number one listed after I post this, at least for a 1/2 second.
Does this mean it's a hit? Or I'm full of IT? Hmmmm, I'll leave that discussion for the coffee house.

    NUMBER 1 YES!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Bobby,

My Vox Style, or lack there of? Does this mean I'm more of a Forest Gump type of singer, or a bit of the "Not so quick on the uptake type"?

I'm just kidding and messing with you Bapu. Thanks man, I can do better and pronounce words quicker, this is an old re-mix, in these modern times I can actually get across the word "Wahoo" without any reverb and make it to where it doesn't sound like I"m saying "Yahoo".   I'm just joking.

Seriously speaking, thanks, I appreciate you and everyone taking the time to listen. I might try the vox thing again in the future, only time will tell, we shall see. Thanks again,

    Bobby

Hey! And it's only 3 minutes long!! :-) I actually went to the store and got provisions before I clicked this. I wanted to be ready for the fortnight... I think your voice sounds "excellent" on this Bobby! This is your wheelhouse... I mean there's a couple little parts? But 98% of it is "perfect" for the genera in my opinion. I was very pleasantly surprised.  Good job.

Thanks Robby,  it was a fun remix, I know I can do better in the future. I was honest with what I was trying to do with the vox and I think that shows. Not sure, it was fun either way, thank you for taking the time to listen and reply.

HA HA! I'm Number One again! At least for a second that is. In all seriousness, thanks to all who have replied and I appreciate your comments, I didn't reply to you one by one because there really wasn't no reason to do so, you all said pretty much the same thing. Thank you for taking the time to listen and reply.
