Two questions about using Sonar X1b with an Echo Gina 3G card.

Hi,

Two quick questions.

I am using Sonar X1b x64 on Windows 7 x64 through an Echo Gina 3G card (ASIO drivers).

1) Why won't Sonar share the audio drivers with other applications even when I have that option checked?

2) Why do other software (like WMP, or even YouTube via Firefox) play the audio at a lower pitch whenever Sonar is open (just open, not playing anything)?

Thanks.

Don't know about question 1 and guessing on question 2... perhaps the sample rate setting in SONAR isn't matching your windows default....

I do have a GINA 3G running all x64 and never bothered trying to SHARE the sound card between apps running at the same time.

OMG, you're right... default Windows rate is 48000 Hz. Never checked before, always assumed it was 44000.

Isn't this unusual? Isn't 44000 the world standard?

Should I up my Sonar X1b rate to 48000 or lower the Windows rate to 44000?
