UA Apollo Duo USB THOUGHTS?

Looks real interesting, with the ability to run UA plugs from it, especially the plugs to effect the inputs.
I dont have thunderbolt so I am waiting on this to come to market,
 
I have two Focusrite Interfaces already that let me effect the inputs, a Liquid Saffire 56 and a Pro 24 DSP and I also have a UA PCIE Solo, so other than getting a little more processing power with the DUO, would I gain anything???I wolud be 899 dollars poorer.....

    Not familiar with UA, but plugs on inputs implies baking the signal. Compression and EQ would be the only things I would bake before disk, so not sure of the "advantage" of that feature TBH.

    Replace your solo with a quad for $699 at GUITAR CENTER. You save $200 and you get four times the power.

    Interesting thought, I could so that and purchase the 610 plug for 100 more in the difference.(since that was the driving interest in the Apollo)
    AFA mic pres,!!!! HAH i!!!!!i n addition to those in the interfaces I also have an ART Digital MPA, a JOEMEEK OneQ, Focusrite TrakMaster Pro, and an ancient Roland MMP2 modeling unit...
     
    so I dont really need any more pres...

    only thing is UA plugs are too damn expensive and never on sale like Waves stuff...

    plugins really expensive as singles ($149-$300 for a single plugin).
     
    but almost zero latency.  super reliable and 3rd party believe in it so much they lend their name to plugins that they think are supper accurate.
     
    I was in guitar center this weekend talking to my rep about Apollo and this new USB for PC version.  I don't like the limited audio in and it was pointed out that I could go with the bigger brother for only $1900 that has more inputs.
     
    it all seems rather expensive to have zero latency audio and some rather good plugins. As a hobbiest I just don't think I need to get that into expensive gear when there are other boxes and plugins that get the job done.
