UA-25EX as audio device for Sonar Producer

Gents/Ladies
I have just tried to hook up a newly purchased UA-25EX to use in Sonar Producer. I have it outputting to 2 Tannoy active speakers and can hear good sound from you-tube vids and sound from applications. What I cannot do is get sound from Sonar.
It allows me to select it in the MIDI device section but although showing in audio the selection is grayed out. Could anyone give me a clue please?
Running Win7 64bit

Would it be possible for you to post screencaps of ALL the tabs in your Audio Options? That would cut out a lot of guesswork and save a lot of time.

If you haven't posted screencaps before there is a pretty good explanation of how to do it posted as a sticky thread in the Home Studio forum. The poster calls them screenshots but that's the same thing as screencaps (screen captures).

Providing RELEVANT INFORMATION + How to post SCREENSHOTS

I managed to solve this. It seems that as I had a sound blaster card previous to the UA25 There was a certain sequence that you had to follow to get the UA25 active. It is documented in the Audio set up guide on the Cakewalk site.
Hey! I'm a man, reading manuals is a last resort. When will we learn.?

Well, now know you know why the response to many problems is "have you read the manual?". I also suggest following the forums here that are related to your software and hardware. I've learned far more from some of the power users here answering other people's questions than I have from reading the manual. Not that I'm suggesting NOT reading the manual (or other help related material). It's the best place to start and gives you a good basic grasp of the concepts, terminology and jargon used in pro audio recording.
