UAD Issue - "Reset All Demo Timers For Card1 Processed Succesfully"

I sold one of my UAD1's a while back to someone on this forum and transferred the card with no issues.  I didn't have any problems using that card until I reinstalled my machine and looked in the UAD Meter and saw that only my UAD2 card was being used.

I went round and round with UAD tech support and they finally fixed it.  My UAD1 shows up in "My Profile".  I downloaded the latest authorizations and when I open the UAD Meter/Control Panel I get the message:

"Reset all demo timers for Card1 Processed Succesfully"

That's it.  The UAD Meter won't open and when I click on the authorization file nothing happens.  Trying to open the meter or add any UAD plugs in a Sonar project pretty much locks the app - have to hard reboot to get anything audio related working again.   I did a few searches here, on Gearslutz and on UAD's forum and haven't found anything specific to my issue.

I even tried unstalling/reinstalling the UAD software - same thing happens.  Every time after a reboot if I open the UAD Meter I get that error message and then it's just broke - have to reboot...

I got an email back to their tech support but not expecting a response any time soon with the holidays...no idea if they are open tomorrow.

Anyone else see this before?  I don't really care what it is - just want to fix it.

Thanks!!

    FWIW, I found this:

But, I did the same thing and it didn't fix the problem. :(

    Very frustrating...

I had this problem once before.  I had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers, then UAD sent me a REG file which adds settings to the registry.  I did the uninstall and reinstall, ran the REG file, and all was well.

You need to contact UAD for the REG file though.  the cards have different unique IDs on them, and they have to make the reg file and send it to you.  I always contact them by phone, they have an 800 number and they have really great customer service via phone.

    2 Computers, 2 Intel Core2Quads, 8 UAD Cards . . . What more can one ask for?
